CPR
and Corporate Technologies Merge –
Broadening their Reach to a National Level
CPR
is excited to announce the merger of Computer Products and Resources (CPR)
and Corporate Technologies LLC of Minnesota. Corporate Technologies has
offices in Fargo, North Dakota, Minneapolis, Minnesota and San Diego,
California.
Jerry
Engle, CEO of CPR, said “The merger enhances CPR’s position
as the largest full service technology company in West Michigan. By leveraging
CPR's IT expertise and Corporate Technologies’ experience, this
merger further enhances the technology offerings available to the Michigan
market and leverages CPR’s data center facility across a national
customer base. This alignment is a natural fit and good for our customers.
Both CPR and Corporate Technologies are committed to providing outstanding
customer service while delivering the latest technology solutions to help
businesses prosper.”
Jim
Griffith, CEO of Corporate Technologies stated, “We are excited
to invest in the people and resources in the Michigan market. Our initial
investment will be the addition of 15 sales staff and foresee the addition
of technical staff. West Michigan has many small businesses that require
solid IT support, we intend on reaching out to even more of those companies,
while continuing to support medium and large accounts.
Pete
Koelzer, Vice President and General Manager of CPR will continue to oversee
the day-to-day operations of CPR. Pete Koelzer said, “The core values
that have made CPR the company it is for the last 25 years will not change.
We will simply be able to provide more resources, expertise and solutions
for our customers. This is a win-win for our customers, both companies
and for West Michigan with the anticipated addition of staff.”
Strenghten
your IT Security through Employee Training
The CPR IT Security Awareness Training program is designed
to provide your employees with an understanding of the current threats related
to information security. Using “lessons learned, and real life examples,”
the host speaker will communicate the steps necessary to protect the attendee
from falling into common traps used to gain unauthorized access to corporate,
customer and personal information.
The hosted presentation will cover many security related topics including:
• System Passwords and common mistakes
• Updating and patching
• Wireless and home networking security issues
• Common hacker tricks
• Theft of information and identity
• Viruses, worms and malware problems
• And much more…
Each
session will last approximately one and a half hours in length and can be
scheduled as part of an employee educational program.
