Technology Feature of the Month —
Getting serious about Business Continuity

Many valuable lessons and improved best practices have evolved since 9/11. However, for the vast majority of IT organizations (ITOs), they have gone back to business as usual when challenged with limited budget dollars. EMC has provided a white paper to explore these issues. The main purpose of this whitepaper is not only to instill a sense of urgency in IT to more adequately address the lingering frailties within our infrastructures, but also to identify reasonable and achievable goals that allow the organization to begin the process for real improvement. You need to know what to do, know how to do it, and be able to accomplish it and measure results. Business continuity is as much as (or more so) an operational and cultural challenge as a technology challenge.

CPR’s Parent Company Corporate Technologies Continues to Grow – Expanding Reach to Boise, ID and Fairfield, NJ
As part of Corporate Technologies' aggressive expansion plan, the company announced two new acquisitions. The company now holds offices in California, Michigan, North Dakota, Minnesota, and most recently in New Jersey and Idaho.

This past November, Corporate Technologies acquired InfoTech USA, a New Jersey based IT Solutions Provider.

Jim Griffith, CEO of Corporate Technologies stated, “The team at InfoTech has built a solid business and has developed excellent customer relationships with many important businesses in the New Jersey and New York markets. This acquisition will only enhance InfoTech’s position in New Jersey as a leader in technology services. We look forward to providing these customers with the additional resources and expertise that will allow them to grow their business with Corporate Technologies in the future. In addition, Corporate Technologies remains committed to being one of the largest providers of managed services in the country.”

Late December, Corporate Technologies acquired Idaho technology services company ITG (Intermountain Technology Group).

“Corporate Technologies is committed to providing our customers with the best technology managed support and services available to small to medium sized businesses,” said Jim Griffith, CEO of Corporate Technologies. “ITG has established itself as a leader in project-focused technology services in the Idaho market as well as the seven additional states that they serve. We see this acquisition as an opportunity to both enhance our services and provide ITG’s existing customers with the additional resources and expertise that Corporate Technologies provides.”

Corporate Technologies has leveraged its 26 years of industry experience to gain many valuable certifications with leading manufacturers of technology hardware and software. The company offers custom Technology Advantage™ support, VoIP and PBX telephone systems, computer networking solutions, repair and warranty services and systems integration and consulting. With a breadth of managed IT business solutions, multiple locations, and over 200 employees strong, Corporate Technologies is able to support their customers on a national level.

“This acquisition is good for our clients and employees,” said John and Alistair MacMillan, Owners of ITG. “Corporate Technologies provides a broad range of technology services and national coverage. In addition, our employees will have an opportunity to join a company that is growing, investing in their employees, and a leader in delivering managed services.
“We are confident that we provide unparalleled IT business solutions and services,” said Griffith. “As we continue to expand our reach with strategic acquisitions such as ITG, it is our goal to become known as the national leader in our industry.”
