CPR’s Technology Feature of the Month
CPR’s Technology Director Oliver Krings has chosen VMware Infrastructure 3.0 and Vizioncore esxEssentials™ as the Technology Feature of the Month for July. With the move towards server consolidation and the need for a disaster recovery plan many CPR customers are choosing the VMware/Vizioncore solution as a strategic investment in their disaster recovery plan. Vizioncore’s esxEssentials™ is a comprehensive solution for the management of VMware’s virtual technology. To learn more about these solutions or the steps to build a disaster recovery plan click here and a member of the CPR Team will contact you.

VMware Infrastructure 3
VMware Infrastructure 3, a powerful software suite that empowers enterprises and small businesses alike to optimize and manage their IT environments through virtualization. VMware Infrastructure 3 delivers transformative cost savings as well as increased operational efficiency, flexibility and IT service levels.

VMware Infrastructure 3 virtualizes and aggregates industry-standard servers and their attached network and storage into unified resource pools. Complete environments including operating systems and applications are encapsulated in virtual machines that are independent from the hardware. A set of virtualization-based distributed infrastructure services for virtual machines bring break-through levels of flexibility, serviceability and efficiency to IT environments:

Central management and monitoring of virtual machines automate and simplify provisioning
Distributed resource optimization dynamically and intelligently allocates the available resources among virtual machines, resulting in significantly higher hardware utilization and better alignment of IT resources with business priorities
Easy-to-use high availability provides better service levels to applications at lower cost than static, physical infrastructure

VMware Infrastructure 3 is not tied to any operating system, giving customers a bias-free choice of operating system and software applications. VMware Infrastructure scales to support IT environments of any size.

esxEssentials™ Essential Management Tools for ESX Server
Companies running mission critical applications on VMware ESX Server can now take virtualization to the next level with esxEssentials which can be used by any level administrator out of the box, is GUI driven and comes with no agents for easy deployment and ongoing operational management.

esxEssentials includes: esxReplicator, esxCharter and esxRanger to replicate, monitor and backup:
esxReplicator will replicate the entire virtual machine and can replicate between dissimilar hardware, and from multiple ESX Servers to one
esxCharter provides top down GUI view with detailed real-time metrics and includes historical reporting, alerting and on-the-fly performance adjustments
esxRanger Professional extends the Standard of esxRanger by adding integration with VirtualCenter®, reporting database repository and intelligent policy-based rules engine

Onsite Managed Services
Does this sound familiar?
Too much work, not enough resources
Spending too much time and money on “Non-Strategic” IT functions
Short term specialized needs that are not a skill set of current staff
Staff is not focused or working on company’s core business
The expense to continually develop certifications of staff to support a particular technology is high
Difficulty filling positions because of wage limitations, limited supply of skill sets needed, etc
High employee replacement costs

Some customers need more than a traditional staffing or outsourced solution. CPR’s On-Site Managed Services is an ideal choice for customers who have decided to outsource either a complete IT support function or a horizontal / vertical segment of their existing IT business. Our Managed Service provides administrative, operational and support functions to provide a total customizable solution. This removes the need to continually recruit, motivate, train and retrain staff for specialized activities. CPR takes full ownership and responsibility for the delivery of proactive administration, incident management, problem management, end-to-end systems and application management. This ensures that the managed infrastructure is operational with predictable costs and is measured against defined service levels, allowing the customer to focus on its core business activities. CPR’s On-Site Managed Services provides a fully managed IT support service on a contractual basis to manage customer IT functions. CPR is responsible for all hiring, training and retention.
