Help — I’m Running Out Of Storage
What To Do When Your Data Is Out Of Control
Suppose, like many people, you’re suffering from a severe overload of clutter. Every surface in your home is piled with books and papers, you haven’t seen the dog in a month, and you need a hard hat for protection every time you open a closet. In such a case, you have two options: add on to your home or figure out how to use your existing space more efficiently.

The same principle is true when it comes to data storage. Most business owners who find themselves running out of disk space choose to purchase new storage hardware — the equivalent of building that addition — when they ought to be taking a hard look at what they’re storing and how. In fact, in many cases, buying more storage without getting some control over existing resources will ultimately make the problem worse.

If you’re struggling with a storage crunch, your first task is to assess your employees’ network use and identify possible causes of the shortage. This alone may solve your short-term needs; according to some storage experts, as much as 20–30 percent of a business’ storage capacity is often wasted on files that can be deleted.

In response to these storage concerns, CPR has implemented a Storage Assessment program to help you address the above issues and evaluate your future storage needs. If you’re ready to stop living with clutter and ready to get control of your network storage, we can help. CPR has access to the latest hardware and software products and the technical expertise to turn them into the right solution for you. Contact us at any time to schedule a storage assessment consultation.
